What To Expect From Your First Clean
The question
"What happens during the first Scoop n Go clean?"
What happens during the first Scoop n Go clean?
First, you request a quote with your suburb, number of dogs and preferred service. Once the plan is confirmed, Philippe checks the agreed yard areas, collects the dog poo, bags it and places it in your general waste bin.
If deodorising is included, it can be applied to the agreed areas for extra freshness.
Why the first clean is different
If the yard has accumulated waste over days or weeks, the first clean takes more time and effort than a routine weekly visit. This is normal and expected — and is the reason some first-clean quotes may differ slightly from the ongoing service price.
The goal of the first clean is to get the yard to a baseline condition. After that, regular weekly or twice-weekly visits are typically quick and straightforward.
What happens during the clean
- We access the yard using the agreed entry method
- All areas of the yard are checked, including along fences, under shrubs and in corners where waste tends to accumulate
- All visible waste is collected, bagged and placed in your general waste bin
- If deodorising has been requested, it is applied after waste removal
- We leave the yard as we found it — gates closed, nothing moved
What to tell us beforehand
When requesting your first-clean quote, it helps to mention:
- Roughly how long since the yard was last cleaned
- Number of dogs and approximate yard size
- Any areas of particular concern (turf, pavers, sheltered spaces)
This lets us confirm the right approach and price before the first visit. Request your first Scoop n Go quote to get started.
