Do I Need To Be Home?

Do I need to be home for dog poo removal?
You may not need to be home if access is clear and any dog safety notes are confirmed ahead of time. Gate access, yard instructions and dog temperament details help make the visit smoother.
If your dog is nervous, reactive or uncomfortable with visitors, it is best to secure them before the service.
How access works
Before your first clean, we confirm:
- How to access the yard (gate code, key location, unlocked latch)
- Where the waste bin is located
- Whether dogs will be in the yard during the clean
Most clients set up a simple arrangement that stays the same from week to week. Once it is confirmed, you do not need to think about it. Add access notes when you request your quote so we can factor them in from the start.
What about the dogs?
Some dogs are fine with unfamiliar visitors. Others are better kept inside. We are happy to work with either arrangement and will follow whatever you prefer.
If there are any concerns about your dog's behaviour — nervousness, reactivity or discomfort with strangers — it is best to make a plan to have them secured or inside on clean days. Just let us know when requesting your quote.
After the clean
After each clean, you can request a short text or note confirming that the yard has been completed. Some clients prefer this; others are happy to trust the schedule. Either way works.
Starting the service
The initial quote and confirmation process is done via a quick message or call. Once the details are set up, the service runs automatically each week or twice-weekly without any ongoing effort from you.
